City Excursion

I already miss this place
Last week I took Javier home to Cincinnati and stayed a few days to visit. It was a nice little retreat, especially after how insane my life was the week before (I needed it). Just a bit of background - I moved to Cincinnati over this past summer to babysit for my cousin, live a bit closer to Javier, and have some different scenery living in a new place. I loved it, I miss it all the time. There is always something to do and I just love the atmosphere of the city. I love being in the country, but there is a special place in my heart for the rush of the city. Unfortunately, while I was in Cincinnati, I did not have my camera and so this time around when I went back I tried to take pictures of the places I was commonly found over the summer :) Enjoy - more to come, I took about 500 pictures over the two days... not a joke (crazy camera lady right over here)

The kidden, Mr. President, chilling with his hero, Brandy
The old church turned Urban Outfitters in Clifton
Driving with my multi colored nails: Essie- Power Clutch, OPI - I Brake for Manicures, OPI - San-Tan-Tonio, OPI - Mermaid's Tears, Essie - Bahama Mama, Pure Ice - Beware
My cousin Matt (I call him Matty), whom we visited in downtown,

The house to the right is my cousin's house that I lived in over the summer :) It was awesome to sit on the porch and see the views, and to sit on the rooftop was amazing

Give Thanks

Yesterday was Thanksgiving - one of my favorite holidays. My parents are both one of 8 children, so I have a huge family, and everyone on my dad's side always comes to my parent's house to celebrate together. It's a great tradition and I love enjoying an insanely delicious meal with my whole family. Sadly, this year we had a smaller crowd (about 25 people) but it was still just as fun! It was also my little mommy's birthday (I call her my little mommy because I am much taller than her) so it was really great to have all of the family there to give thanks McGough style and celebrate my wonderful mother :)
I'm so glad to finally be back, I had to take a bit of a break from my fun things to get some business done, but I am back! And I took a 3 day trip to Cincinnati to visit Javier's family, where I took a multitude of pictures that will be posted in small bits over the next few days :) I would've posted earlier but I worked all day today for Black Friday! Scary! People scared me and made me think it would be AWFUL, but it really was not too bad after all the crazy middle of the night shoppers left. It was just busy!
Did anyone have any good Black Friday experiences? Bad ones? Any deals? :)

My parents, who just celebrated their 28th anniversary a few days before :)

It Never Stops

First of all,
I apologize for not posting for a few days. I worked all weekend, then I worked 8 hours today and then went to class for 2 hours, so this is a lame blog post, but I wanted to say something. I am THRILLED by the plethora of comments I got on my last post :) They all made me so happy - everyone was so sweet. Thank you :) But after a long day today, I painted my nails, and I am sitting down in my silk robe with Javier and my kidden and enjoying a glass of bubbly. There will be more to come later this week once things settle down a bit, but I am swamped!

P.s. After wearing the sweaters a bit, I think Mr. President actually likes them - he gets all cuddly and he purrs once he gets them on. So I went back to work and bought every style we had and he wears a different one every day.

P.s.s. This was very difficult to type because I had a kidden batting at my hands the entire time; picture of his stake out below.

Vintage nails - tutorial to come. Essie - Bahama Mama

By the end of my computer time he passed out :)

Kidden Dress Up

So I am going to admit right now that I have turned into a crazy cat person, and my poor kidden has to deal with it. I bought him some ridiculously inexpensive cat sweaters tonight at work, and even though he hates them... he just looks so cute. And even though this is the farthest thing from high fashion... or even good fashion (the tag says "ugly pet sweaters")... I just had to share how adorable/cute/funny he looks. Unfortunately the pictures don't look the best because it was hard to get him to stay still, but here's my kidden :)

PS. Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post! I had a long day at work and it brought such a smile to my face to see your comments :)
Kidden wearing the ring I got Javier for our anniversary
T-shirt that says "Naughty but Nice"... he's ready for Christmas
My favorite... doesn't he look like such a little man?

Bring on the Cold

I am ecstatic because I ordered a Zara dress last night. I have been searching for the perfect one for the past month or so, but didn't find any that were exactly what I wanted. I'm not into really form fitting dresses, and most sweater dresses are just that. And then the wonderful Emily from Cupcakes & Cashmere posted a few pictures of hers and I fell in love with it. I had to look it up, assuming it would be out of my budget BUT IT WASN'T! It was actually less expensive than one I had seen at Victoria's Secret that I was considering. So I am just thrilled - new sweater dress, just what I wanted, and it is so affordable! I am a very happy camper, who is camping right by the mailbox. :)

Here is the dress on Emily, who's blog is outstanding and who's fashion sense is superb

And if anyone has not seen this girl rap, I suggest you check her out. She's so cute & her voice is awesome.

Call Your Girlfriend

I found this, I absolutely love it, and I had to share it immediately.

New Babies

Today was not my day. Here's a story. I'm stressed with school; I lost the back page to one of my syllabi and my professor has yet to email me back after multiple emails. I had that class today and even though I was feeling blue and wanted more than anything to just curl up in my bed, I sucked it up and began my journey to class. It was a rough one; it took me 45 minutes to get there in traffic and I was ready to get my syllabus. As I approached my classroom door, I see the inside is all black with a note on the side that reads: "Class cancelled, keep up with the syllabus, see you Monday!" Ugh, right? And by that time, it was the thick of rush hour so I had to wait around the area for a bit... then a wonderful thought came to my mind. DSW is right across the street. So, as you can see, I bought these shoes, and it's amazing how much better they made me feel. I can't wait to wear them and put them together with a cute outfit! I am in love with them; they are cute, comfortable, stylish and versatile. Well worth the fat cash I dropped for these babies!

What do you like to do to cheer yourself up?

Booties: Steve Madden

And of course, a picture of my kidden

On days like today
I love to just relax and listen to this song. It is so beautiful; classical music evokes emotion in a way no other music can.

Fiesta

Last night Javi and I embarked on a Mexican cuisine experience to reward ourselves after some studying (it was more my decision, as I desperately needed a margarita). We went to Guacamole's, a little mexican restaurant in Kent, right down the road from us. As with just about every mexican restaurant in America, it is not authentic food, but still very good. All of the waiters are from Mexico, just like my Javibear, so he always orders for us in Spanish, and he has become buddies with Pollo, who always waits on us. It's a great atmosphere, doesn't break the bank, and the food is delicious. Here are a few pictures from our night :)
Also, don't forget to follow me! Either through blogger or through Bloglovin! In addition, I tend to get overly excited when I see comments on my page so if you see anything you like, anything you don't like, or if there is something you would like to see, share it with me and I would be happy to converse! Thank you! :)

Heels: Steve Madden,  Bracelets (my only pieces of gold jewelry): Khols
Cami, Sweater, Jeans & Bracelets: Khols, Shirt: Target, Wristlet: Coach
Don't mind all of the scratches on my hands and arms; I have Mr. President to thank

Very tough decision deciding what to order

Strongest margarita on the planet; hit me like a train... it's called the "Top Shelf"
The remnants of our Queso Fundido that was so delicious, it was eaten before I could even get a picture
Javi's veggie quesadilla
End of the night; the boys playing their video games
I'll never understand

I would also like to share this song.
Its a dubstep remix of Sunday Girl's "Four Floors"
and I am loving it

The Last Remnants of Fall 2: Cloth

Boots: Journey's, Tights: Macy's

These are the two outfits I wore today. One when I was out visiting Wadsworth today, and one when I got home and had some errands to run. The first was very dark and I felt like some sort of edgy girl with my sleek, dark outfit and leather jacket. But I still kept it girly with jewelry and my fancy nails :) Courtesy of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects that you can buy at pretty much any drug store. They are amazing. I am wearing #360 Laced Up with Essie "Bahama Mama" on my index finger, and Pure ICE "Beware" on my ring finger.

Also, don't forget to check out my friend Hilary's give away! Check it out :) Adorable necklace from Shabby Apple - a femme, vintage online clothing store.
